Festival Overview:

The GAF Short Film Festival celebrates the creativity and storytelling abilities of individuals within the Ayurveda community. This festival aims to provide a platform for Ayurveda enthusiasts to express their ideas and narratives through the medium of short films. Below are the guidelines for participation:

  1. Eligibility:
  • All submissions must be created by individuals or teams associated with the Ayurveda fraternity, including practitioners, students and researchers.
  • Each film should have a runtime of less than 30 minutes.
  • Director of the short film should be a registered delegate of GAF
  1. Equipment and Formats:
  • Films can be shot using various equipment, including smartphones, DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, or any other film cameras.
  • The final submission format should be either MP4 or MOV.
  • Aspect ratio for the films should be 1080×1920 (Landscape format).
  1. Crew Members:
  • The film’s crew members must exclusively belong to the Ayurveda fraternity.
  • A list of crew members and their roles should be included with the film submission.
  1. Evaluation Criteria:
    • Films will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
    • Quality of Production: This includes cinematography, sound, editing, and overall technical quality.
    • Content: The film’s theme, relevance to Ayurveda, and storytelling.
    • Creativity: The innovative use of film techniques and originality.
    • Any film with derogatory or demeaning content will be disqualified.
  1. Preliminary Screening:
  • All submitted films will go through a preliminary screening process.
  • The festival organizers will select the films that meet the eligibility criteria and align with the festival’s theme.
  1. Festival Screening:
  • Selected films will be screened at the Global Ayurveda Festival venue.
  • The main crew members of the selected films will have the opportunity to interact with the judging panel and the audience.
  1. Judging Panel:
  • The festival’s judging panel consists of experts from the film and Ayurveda industries.
  • The panel’s decision on the winners will be final.
  1. Submission Deadline:

The deadline for film submissions is November 10, 2023, at 9:00 PM.

By adhering to these guidelines, participants can contribute to a vibrant and creative celebration of Ayurveda through the medium of short films. The GAF Short Film Festival encourages innovation and storytelling that promotes the values and knowledge of Ayurveda.

 

Short Film Submission Process (For Review) :

Please upload the short film video file to the Google Drive with General Access to the video file set as “Anyone with the link” (so that there will be no restriction for viewing the video file) and share the Url of the Short Film Video file on Google Drive to sff@gafindia.org for review.

Please keep the video file size as less than 1 GB for the purpose of review and make sure that the the video format is .mp4

The director of the Short Film should register as a Delegate after selecting “Short Film Director” as the delegate type. The provision for Delegate Registration is available after you register and login at https://gafindia.org/gaf-suite/login

The review status of your short film will be intimated from sff@gafindia.org, as soon as the review is over.
